Our Mission
Artists have always shaped civilizations. Long before a generation changes its laws, it changes its stories. And in that way the stories we tell determine the world we inherit. A novel can change the way a generation thinks. A film can restore compassion. A conversation can transform a life. Stories have the power to unite us or divide us. To justify violence or awaken mercy. To teach fear or cultivate understanding. For centuries, artists have planted seeds that continued growing long after they were gone.
Sophia's House is simply the safe space artists have always retreated to—now existing online so remarkable people can gather across cultures without borders.
Our mission is simple.
To make peace possible across cultures through conversation, literature, and community.

Sophia's House develops confidence through literature, language learning, storytelling, and meaningful conversation.
Some members eventually continue their journey through our travel and work fellowship program, Planting Good Seeds.
Planting Good Seeds Fellows become leaders who collaborate across cultures, build meaningful community projects, and help demonstrate that peace is created through understanding—not simply agreement.
Every conversation plants a seed. Some of those seeds become lifelong friendships. Some become books. Some become businesses. Some become community projects. Some become future Planting Good Seeds Fellows serving communities around the world.
