Bio

For the past several years, I've had the privilege of getting to know people from every corner of the world—far beyond what my tracker can measure. Officially, that's more than 2,312 students from 47 countries and 93,542 minutes spent helping people communicate more naturally in English. Unofficially, it's been thousands of conversations about love, loss, dreams, culture, and the lives we hope to build. Sophia's House was born from a simple belief: that stronger global relationships create a more peaceful world. And perhaps there is no better way to begin those relationships than by sharing the stories that have shaped us. Through literature, film, and art, we discover not only new cultures, but new ways of understanding ourselves—and one another.

Guiding Style

Our discussions often begin with a book, a film, or a simple question that gradually unfolds into something much deeper. Every lesson is shaped by curiosity, attention, and the interests of the student, making each conversation unique. Whether we're discussing literature, cinema, philosophy, or everyday life, my goal is to help students discover that language is less about translation and more about understanding ourselves and each other.

What Becomes Possible Together

I often have got to experience others hidden desires come alive in our time together. Which clearly is the most exciting part of working with language learners for me, and the reason why I founded Sophia's House.
